Library Director -Full Time Position

The City of Spirit Lake Public Library Board of Trustees is seeking an experienced Director to provide management and leadership for the Spirit Lake Public Library. Responsibilities include preparing and monitoring the budget, directing the operations and maintenance of the library, managing the library staff, maintaining the library collection, and managing the library’s IT services.

Applicants should have skills and experience in dealing with members of the public, human resources, financial management and technology. A college degree and library certification from the State of Iowa are two of the minimum requirements and two years of library experience is preferred. Additional minimum requirements are set forth in the job description for the position. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. The Director is eligible for benefits through the City of Spirit Lake.
